The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Update: Since graduating from Penn State, I've been based in upper Chelsea, Manhattan. As an actor (AEA SAG, AFTRA, Irish Actors' Equity) it's been challenging to stay flexible with the changes in the entertainment business! I've been able to work in Vienna, Paris, London and Dublin, (having a European passport is helpful!), as well as around our country. I've loved doing guest-artist stints at colleges and universities, serving the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts---as Teaching Artist, Panel Member choosing other Artists to serve in our schools, writing an arts curriculum for the state legislature, and choosing Theatre students for participation in Governor's School. And coaching---actors, ballet and modern dance companies. I am recording audio books, and narrating in the voice-over field. Over the past year I've done Shakespeare in NY's Madison Square and Central Parks, played pioneer suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton for the NY International Fringe Festival, and done 2 new plays for the prestigious new company Ars Nova at their gorgeous theatre on W 54 St. I am introducing ALBA TECHNIQUE to New York actors. ALBA is a fascinating, practical and revolutionary method by Dr. Susana Bloch Arendt and colleagues from the CNRS (Paris) by which one may experience authentic human emotion---and here is what is cutting edge---by purely physiological means. WOW!
